Firmware updates keep your ERA Wallet secure, reliable, and up to date with the latest features and blockchain standards.
ERA Wallet updates use NFC — a short-range communication standard — which ensures that only devices in close proximity can exchange data. This makes the process secure and tamper-resistant, protecting your device from interception while keeping it offline.

On the Mobile App
-

Positioning the Phone (NFC)
-
The device will display an animation showing how to place your phone.
-
The device's NFC antenna is located on the bottom half of the device.
iPhone users: The NFC antenna is located at the top of the phone. Place the top half of the iPhone against the bottom half of the device, exactly as shown in the animation.
Android users: NFC antenna placement varies by model. Adjust the phone position until the NFC connection is detected.
During the Update
-
Once the phone is correctly positioned, the firmware update will start automatically.
-
Do not move or lift the phone during the update process.
-
Keep the phone in place until the mobile app displays Success.
⚠️ Important for iPhone users: You may see a notification at the bottom of the screen repeatedly appearing and disappearing. This does not mean the connection is lost. iOS limits NFC sessions to a few seconds, and the app automatically reconnects. Do not move the phone under any circumstances once the update has started.
The update is complete only when the mobile app confirms Success.
