Destination Number Alert (Caller ID)

Some custom caller IDs may be restricted while using SpoofCard, depending on the destination you are attempting to reach. When attempting to call certain toll-free numbers, businesses, etc., you may receive a pop-up message indicating the following:  “To call this destination number, you must use a number that you own and has been verified. If you do not own the number you want to use as Caller ID, you will not be able to contact this destination number."   If you receive this message, you must use a caller ID you own that has been verified through our in-app verification system to call that specific destination. Our providers enforce this requirement due to recent telecom regulations. These new rules necessitate adjustments to our service to ensure compliance.   To verify a caller ID, please use the following: On SpoofCard.com: 1. Log in and go to Settings. 2. Under the Account tab, find the Add Verified Caller ID section on the right. 3. Click Add to begin the verification process. 4. Follow the prompts. If you're unable to receive the code via SMS, select Call Me to receive it via a phone call. On the SpoofCard Mobile App: 1. Open the app and navigate to Settings. 2. Tap Account. 3. Select Add Verified Caller ID. 4. Follow the prompts. If SMS delivery fails, choose Call Me to receive the code via a phone call. Can I Call As A Toll-Free Number?

SpoofCard offers Toll-Free numbers to use directly from the Verified Caller ID list. Choosing one of these numbers to place a call does cost a premium and is indicated by "PREMIUM" and a Gold SpoofCard Coin on the app. Using a Toll-Free number costs an additional +1 credit, per minute, on your call.   Other Toll-Free Numbers: ERROR MESSAGE: "Due to carrier regulations, we are unable to process calls using a toll-free number as a Caller ID."   If you are trying to display a Toll-Free Number as your Caller ID, you will not be able to do so without verifying the number first, as our providers will not allow it. Recently, telecom providers have introduced additional regulations that we must comply with. While this was previously not an issue, new rules and regulations on carriers, providers, and services like ours have required us to adjust our service.    If you have verified the number you wish to use, our system will allow you to use the verified number since you have proven you have the authority to use that number. If you have not verified a toll-free number, you can do so by navigating to the app's settings, tapping "Account," and selecting "Add Verified Caller ID" under the Caller IDs section. Once you verify the number, you'll be guided through the verification process. If your phone number is not able to receive verification codes, you have the option to receive them via phone call. Simply select "Call Me" when inputting your Caller ID, and you will receive a phone call with the verification code.    Toll-free numbers are numbers that begin with one of the following three-digit codes: 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844, or 833. Why Is The App Calling A Different Number?

Have you ever noticed that the number displayed when you make a call isn’t the one you dialed? This is due to what’s known as an Access Number. When you use SpoofCard to make a call, your connection is routed through one of our Access Numbers. These numbers play a critical role in protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your calls. Acting as an intermediary, the Access Number links your verified call to our carriers and then securely routes it to the recipient. How Access Numbers Work On our website, you’ll find a drop-down list of available Access Numbers. Once you enter the number you wish to call and the number you want to display, you'll be prompted to dial the designated Access Number and Access Code. It’s important to enter these details exactly as provided so that the call can connect properly. For an even smoother experience, our mobile app automatically handles this process for you. After you input the number you want to call and tap the call button, the app will select an Access Number in the background to securely route your call. This means you may see a different number than the one you dialed, but rest assured, the Access Number is doing its job to protect your privacy. Why Does This Matter? Access Numbers are a vital part of our system, ensuring that your calls are routed securely and that your personal number remains private. By using Access Numbers, SpoofCard helps safeguard your information while still allowing you to make calls with the number you choose to display.
